First we want to congratulate everyone that took on some or all of last months DIY route. It really was no joke. It allowed you to see more than you may have wanted to see of S-Line, but even though you may not think it, there are still more out and backs that were not included.
Next up, the April edition. This month you get two routes to pick from, option A and Option B. That was not an April Fool's joke, you really get two new routes. Both include the C and B-Lines and start from the same place - the newly remodeled Y (Waddell Creek and Sherman Valley Road). The format is such that you can do an out and back or traverse each loop. One route will give you the option to do ALL OF C-LINE. That's right, start-to-finish, end-to-end, another never-before-included in Gravelpalooza gem. Watch your speed as you near the end of C-Line near Highway 12 because you will be going pretty fast with the elevation you will be losing. The routes are each challenging, but with some possibly nicer weather on the horizon and more light each day, go for it!
These routes are on the longer side, but that's to help everyone get ready for some of the really cool gravel events that are coming up. Even with COVID, promoters are doing what they can to safely put on events so we want to help get you ready and have fun. Who knows? Maybe even Gravelpalooza might be coming back to its original format...
Need some motivation and inspiration, check out some of these events coming up:
