April gave us some great weather and even some dry gravel, but the forest showed us who was boss when it came time for one of the biggest gravel events to hit the Pacific Northwest. Congrats to all the friends of Joy Ride that set out to take on the Super G!
Next up, the May DIY Gravelpalooza edition. We're giving you the chance to hit the forest from its western side. Some roads may be familiar, but things are never the same when you approach them from a new direction.
You can start in Elma where the route has you start near the Starbucks off of Highway 8 for a ride of 38 miles OR you could start at the Porter Campground itself for a ride of roughly 22 miles. (Note: click start locations for links for how to get there).
The full route has you take A-Line from where it starts on Ray Road, then to B-Line to B-4000. From there you meet the KC-Line powerline climb where you eventually will meet KC-1000. From there is is a descent on the A-5000 and A-4000 leading you back to A-Line and then a flat roll towards Elma where we like to have a coffee reward.
Have fun out there!
