Sorry to keep everyone waiting, but we wanted to see how the weather panned out this week. Gravelpalooza is a GO!
We just came back from scouting out the roads and the southern part of the Capitol Forest is looking great, so we will meet at the Y (intersection of Sherman Valley and Waddell Creek Roads) Saturday at 10 am. There is also parking further down the road at the Middle Waddell Creek area as well.
Our route this weekend has us traversing D-4000 which is a rolling road on one of the southern arteries of the forest. There may still be some snow around, but there are tire tracks that go down to the gravel, so if you are in the snow, it is because you want to be. We'll be doing a small loop off of the E-Line as well and then doubling back to where we started.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone out on the gravel this weekend!
