Joy Ride loves the dirt and gravel but we dig the road too. So we want to take folks on weekend cafe rides visiting roads we think are pretty cool and to cafes or coffee stops you might not have been to before.
Join us November 3rd at 9 am for our first Joy Ride Cafe Ride starting from the shop. We'll plan on covering about 60 miles at 16-18 mph pace. We will regroup after larger hills and keep a steady but sustainable pace for the group. If you are looking to drop people and hammer the whole way through, this is probably not the ride for you. However, if you are looking for a good ride, with good company (well, we think so), like to explore new roads and get coffee mid-ride, this might be the ride for you.
Our first cafe ride will take us towards Tacoma, along Chambers Bay, get some views of the Narrows Bridge and then stop midway at Olympia Coffee Roasters (the Tacoma one). From there, we'll head back 'mostly' the same way to the shop.
Helmets required. Make sure to bring at least 2 spare tubes, topped-off bottles, and snacks. Do you need to be able to ride in a paceline and rotate? Yes, but we can also help teach if you these things if you want to learn. If you have other questions, let us know. Click here to email us.
