After the summer hiatus from riding roads in the woods we are happy and excited for the return of Gravelpalooza!!
Joy Ride has been facilitating gravel/adventure rides in the area for many years. If you can remember back to the early days of “gravel” Joy Ride was at the forefront of riding in Capital Forest and other areas around town. We even had our own show to highlight some of the fun and adventures we undertook. Remember Tim’s World? We do!! Check the bottom of the post for a Tim's World throw back!
Gravelpalooza kicks off with a nice season warm up starting from the upper lot of the Mima Falls Trailhead. A little singletrack gravel and pavement get us started into the season, We always strive to never leave anyone behind and we will have someone at the back of the group making sure we all get to the finish. It is a best practice to have the route downloaded onto your cycling computer so that you know where the turns are in case you happen to be out ahead of everyone.
Make sure your bike is ready to go and that you have enough fluid and nutrition to get you through the ride distance, Extra food is always good and also having tools and spare parts to get any mechanical that you might have fixed and get you back on the gravel adventure.
See everyone at 10am October 7th at the Mima Falls Trailhead,
