Joy Ride Bikes in Lacey is in search of 2 personable mechanics (1 full time 35-40 hrs & 1 part time 15-25 hrs) to fill immediate positions. We have a super rad shop in Lacey and we are always in search of super rad people who have skills to pay the bills and a delightful personality to go along with said skills. Joy Ride will seriously consider any candidate regardless of age, gender, gender identity or height, hair style and shoe size for that matter; no full-time nudists please (part time ok). Our skilled service department works on pretty much anything bicycle related to include custom drifters, NASA designed department store bikes, super clean white glove tested "Never Washed" commuter bikes, "I just bought this bike 2 years ago how could that bearing be seized" mud infested mountain bikes, "Sorry, I did not notice that cobweb" NOS garage dwellers, etc.

The full time position requires mad bike mechanic skills, many moons of bike shop experience, an enjoyable personality and computer skills out the wazzo. Mad bike mechanic skills can include but is not limited to: Robotic shifting, fluid activated braking systems, bikes that squish, bikes that make a whirring sound like a Prius, superior JRA assessment ability & making a $100 bike shift like a $120 bike. For personality...show us what you have got! The main thing is you need to fit in with our crew. And our POS is the mothership of Joy Ride so excellent computer hacking skills is a must.

The part time position does not require as well rounded of a skill set as the full time position. However, you must have good mechanical ability, willingness to learn new skills, 3 PhD's in Nuclear Cyborg Cloning Technology and of course a personality that can make the cows come home. Job duties for this position include installing basic parts and accessories, changing tubes, smiling with a dumbfounded expression daily and helping on the sales floor when needed.

Think you have what it takes to work at Joy Ride? If so send us your resume or drop by the shop to hand it off in person!

Good Morning,

My name is Brandon McClanahan and I am interested in joining your team part-time. I dropped off a resume on Wednesday. There is no written experience with bicycle repair on it but my interests include building and restoring BMX bikes, I have been doing that on and off for the past 10 years or so.
The resume will not blow you away regarding that type of experience but hopefully it will show that I am a good, honest worker who takes great pride in what he does.
If you have any part-time opening please get back to me I would like to talk in person about what I have to bring to the table.

Thanks,

Brandon S McClanahan
