Some of you may have noticed a new brand sitting up front and center at the shop recently, but if you haven't been in in a while (Then come say Hi!) we recently became a stocking dealer of Jamis Bicycles, and in particular the brand new Jamis Renegade. We've been having a great time the past couple winters abusing our CX bikes on the dirt roads of Capitol Forest, but there are days when the aggressive, stiff, race dictated geometry of cyclocross bikes just doesn't do the trick. Particularly on long days in the saddle on less then manicured roads. Thankfully the past two years have had a great showing of companies leaving the "racey" geometry of cyclocross behind in favor of more tradition road endurance geometry (Norco Search, Kona Rove...) to give the rider a more relaxed and balanced feeling on those long rides. Jamis knocked it out of the park this year with the Renegade, leading it's class with tire clearance (40c with fenders), hydration capacity (Three bottle mounts!) "Bang-for-your-Buck" ($2599 for carbon frame, 105 build, tubeless rims....), and a host of acronyms to describe their design and construction. Jamis has also made sure to offer the Renegade in both steal and carbon and an assortment of builds to ensure that there really is a bike for everybody.
For it being such a fun bike it only made sense to shoot it in a fun place. Thanks to Rick at Lazer Fun Zone for opening the doors early and letting us use your space!
