Joy Ride Bicycles is excited to announce that we will be sponsoring Kasper Dean for his 2016 race season. Many of you know Kasper from the sales floor or behind the counter, but few are probably aware that last year was Kasper's first year jumping into the big leagues and racing the local downhill circuit as a PROfessional. Going into 2016 Kasper will be making his way from coast to coast racing a complete National Pro-GRT season all while proudly displaying the Joy Ride Bicycles Brand. We're excited to have someone as hard working, resilient, and dedicated to the sport as Kasper waving the shop flag.
It's not often that a part time summer employee of a bicycle shop sticks around for too long, and even less often that they become a valuable and indispensable member of the team on a year round basis, but that's exactly what Kasper has done. Kasper will be missed this summer as he goes off in pursuit of his racing dreams, and while it is hard to let a valuable member of the team go, we would be doing a disservice to the kid by keeping him all to ourselves and not letting the entire Country know who KassyD is. He won’t be completely gone for the summer, so when you see him in the shop ask him how his racing and training is going.
Joy Ride will primarily be supporting Kasper financially, ensuring that he can focus on achieving the best results possible without having to worry about pesky little things like race entry fees and gas money. Which adds up when your races stretch from Washington to Vermont and everywhere in between.

With a 12th place finish at the first NW cup this season, where just .2 seconds separated him from 7th place, it's safe to say that Kasper's winter training program paid off. With a rigid gym schedule and no shortage of track time, Kasper is already hitting the season at full steam.
