With a turn out of almost thirty volunteers it is easy to say that the work party was a stellar success. The reroute bypassing the old road grade south of the Chute has taken shape beautifully and is almost ready to ride. With the efforts of our volunteers we managed to remove the rest of the stumps on the trail, buff in the tread, removed debris from the edges of the trail and complete the last bit of reroute that needed to be cut in.
Big thanks to Jim Graham for helping work with DNR and orchestrate the completion of this project and to our local DNR for allowing us to take the helm on this project and trusting in our vision and commitment to the forest. Also thanks to all the great riders and supporters in the community for coming out week after week and helping us turn the vision into a reality.
Also thanks to the Great Henry Gertje for putting a forest soil sample demo for us before we sunk our shovels into the ground. It's always great to learn more about the forest that we call home.
